Summary: ElderCheck is built to help families stay informed. We collect only what’s needed to deliver calls and summaries, and we aim to give you retention and deletion controls.

What we collect

Account info (email) for the caregiver.
Call scheduling info (name, phone number, preferred call time/timezone).
Call metadata (call status, duration). Optionally: recordings and transcripts if enabled.
Summaries and alert signals generated from the conversation.

Consent

ElderCheck is designed to ask for consent during the initial call and to allow opt‑out. You should only add a loved one if you have a valid relationship and permission to set up wellness check calls.

How we use data

To place check‑in calls and deliver summaries/alerts.
To improve reliability and reduce false alarms.
To provide account support.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Service providers (e.g., telephony and infrastructure) may process data to operate the service.

Retention & deletion

We intend to provide controls for retention and deletion of recordings/transcripts. If you need deletion support, contact us at hello@eldercheck.app.

Not medical / not emergency

ElderCheck is not a medical device and not an emergency service. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

This is a starter policy for early access. You should have a lawyer review before public launch.
